Festival Information

The Yoruba Arts Festival celebrates the vibrant and colorful arts and culture of the Yoruba, featuring cultural, educational and social activities geared towards making Yoruba Arts and culture more accessible to a wider audience across London and England.

 

From start to end there are activities and entertainment for all ages at the festival. Face Painting, Children’s playground, workshops, Competitions, presentations, Cultural performances, Arts and Crafts market, African Food and live music from artists and performers 

Admission

Admission to the festival is free and open to everyone to attend,  participate and enjoy.. Event staff work to maintain a safe and secure site and environment and have the authority to restrict entry / eject anyone or persons that is/are deemed unfit and /or unsafe to the welfare and security of the event.

Traders

Visit our African Market to experience a wide selection of African made and sourced goods and products from UK and Africa. There will be a variety of Arts and Crafts, Traditional and Organic body and health products as well as local businesses, charities and community initiatives providing information about their services to the local community.

Food & Drinks

Food and Drinks will be on sale from 12.00pm to 7.00pm on both days of the event.  Attendees are encouraged to dispose of their food and drink waste material in the waste bins provided around the site. We strongly support a clean and safe environment for all users, at all times, at the event site. 

Items not Allowed

Personal chairs, tables or structures are prohibited. Flying or distribution of flyers without prior permission is not allowed.  All dogs must be on a leash and controlled by their owners. Bicycles are not allowed in or on event site or left unattended or secured to event fencing.

 

Any item that can be used as a dangerous weapon will not be allowed. 

The Festival is a drug free family friendly event.

Green & Clean

Clissold Park remains one of Hackneys  and London's most prestigious parks and we want to maintain that prestige by keeping Clissold Park, clean and green.  We encourage attendees to use the bins provided around the event site during and after the event. Please remember the park is surrounded by residents with young children..

Travel Guide

Transportation links

Parking around the site is restricted by parking permits, however parking restrictions are reduced on Sundays. We encourage the use of public transportation to and from the festival.

 

There are a few travel options to make your day a more enjoyable one with the ease of access to the festival.

 

Rail and Trains in the area are Manor House and Finsbury Park. Bus routes 341, 141, 73 and 236.
